Marc Chaudet

Areas of expertise

Marc Chaudet is a business lawyer involved mainly in company law as well as in banking and finance law.

He assists Ydès French and foreign clients on all business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals (capital risk and LBO), security issues, joint ventures and restructuring.

His practice also focuses on finance transactions, acting for French and foreign corporations and financial institutions on a wide range of deals, including acquisition finance (mainly for senior and mezzanine lenders on the leveraged finance market), structured finance or debt restructuring.

Marc Chaudet is fluent in French and English and practices in both languages.

Professional experience

Marc Chaudet joined Ydes as a Partner in January 2016.

He had previously created his own firm in 2010, after 15 years spent in the Corporate and Finance departments of Clifford Chance and Simmons & Simmons in Paris and London.

Educational background

Marc Chaudet is a member of the Paris Bar since 1996.

He holds a master degree (DEA) in Business Law (University Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne) and graduated from the Institute of Comparative Law (University Paris II – Panthéon-Assas).


Marc Chaudet is a lecturer at the University Paris-Dauphine where he annually delivers a seminar on finance laws.
